Le scatole "portaricordi"...

I've always had a predilection for the boxes,

any form or material.

Great classics as boxes or portacaramelle small,

can contain what we hold most precious:

letters, photographs and gifts for special people that would otherwise be "lost"

in a drawer.

The wooden boxes retrieved

recently, and I've decorated with different techniques,

gift packs of two bottles of wine .

For the first I used a rice paper with pictures of swans
to which I added touches of painting, like the grass or the water of the pond.

I applied at the corners of the woodworks to make it more harmonious.

The second has been antiqued with a technique that we know well:

the pickled, or shabby by which we can resurface the underlying color.

A wooden plaque with the inscription "Remember" seemed perfect ...

And this is the internal spaces rivestito di carta per cartonnage.

In genere uso la carta Varese, la più adatta per grammatura,
ma per queste scatole ho preferito

utilizzarne una con degli spartiti e principi della musica.
